Rancho Sedona

For the final day at the canyon, I wanted to get a look at Yaki Point and the other lookouts to the east. I got most everything at the RV organized then hiked the rocky path out to the bus stop.

It wasn’t long before a grand canyon shuttle pulled up and took me to the visitor center where I switched over to the orange line to head out to Yaki.

There were three stops on this run. Kaibab trailhead, Yaki Point and Pipe Creek, in that order. I’d hop off at each, explore around for the 15 minutes until the next bus would arrive and then do it again at the upcoming viewpoint.

Returned to camp with enough time to leisurely finish my final preparations and was heading towards Flagstaff by 11:00. Caught up on a few errands in town; filling the propane, gassing up the truck and picking up groceries. Then it was south to Sedona.

Once out of the population zone, the road turned off to a single lane country back road with pine forests and hiking trails.

Continued dropping in altitude until Sedona’s famous red rocks started emerging from the greenery. Beautiful rocks like the canyon only looking up at them instead of looking down.

Navigated a few roundabouts then passed through the tourist center to reach my campsite on the Tlaquepaque side of town. Got leveled up and couldn’t muster enough ambition to get myself to do anything more today.
