Pin Oak State Park

I had visions of biking, paddling or hiking for the morning. But when I got up, my body pretty much told me it was a good day to take a break. I parked my rocking chair down on the lakefront and read books and drank tea most of the morning. It was a beautiful start to my day. Pin Oak campground gets five stars from me.

Everything was stowed and ready to go by the 11:00 o’clock check out hour. It was back on the road and cruising westward towards Arkansas. It was a different route out but the same hour of backwoods driving before reaching the I-40 to Memphis. The big city had some moderate traffic yet was fairly easy to navigate. Crossed the might Mississippi into Arkansas where the roads went back to being one or two lane country highways all the way to Searcy.

I pulled up to RV Fog Drs just a little before closing time. Lee pointed me to some hook ups attached to the front of the garage bays and I got settled for the night. The crew was soon gone and I was king of the parking lot. Early day tomorrow getting most of he double pane windows redone.

  1. You’ve really done quite a bit of travelling, Mike. How many times have you crossed the Mississippi? I remember when Richard and I were driving around the National Parks areas, I couldn’t believe how many times we crossed the Snake River or the continental Divide. Stay well. Meema XOXO
