A busy Tuesday. We were up early getting PJ ready for her trip home to mom’s place for a Christmas visit. I dropped her at Jacksonville International Airport a little before ten. She’s traveling light and went right in to catch her flight. I popped into Publix on the way home to get a few items then ran some errands around town. The day turned out nice and sunny, so I did a quick stop at the beach to check it out on the way in. It was close to one in the afternoon when I got back to the woods to take Cali out for a tour.
Dredging going on down at the beach
A few of the nearby tent sites were filling up with campers, a family with a pair of barky dogs and a trio of bros setting up a virtual pyre for the evening. I had gotten a call from Ryan over at the Rip Curl shop letting me know that our Christmas wetsuits had arrived at the store so I did the short drive over to Jax Beach and picked them up. Stoked. I headed back to camp and even though the waves were tiny, I threw on the new suit and grabbed PJ’s boogie board to catch a few little dribblers. Super comfortable suit, beautiful sunny afternoon and sparsely populated beach. Great way to end the day.
Merry Xmas!
Geek of the Week
PJ made the trip back to Rhode Island safely. Mom’s under the weather so PJ’s doing her best to look after things. The thermometer registered 31 degrees when she landed at T F Green so I guess I can’t be complaining too much about being chilly here. Cali and I had a laid back evening going out to patrol the grounds from time to time but mostly lounging in the warmth of the RV.
