After a long day of driving, we found a sweet little campground in the town of Weatherford OK close to the Texas state line. It was a new park just opened in May of this year. Everything was squeaky clean from the concrete pads to the laundry and yes, a dog wash. We leveled up under the watchful eye of an angry looking full timer who spent our entire stay sitting in front of his trailer staring at us. PJ got a jump on the laundry we have been collecting since the start of the trip while I puttered around with the RV.
Next we put the dog wash to the test, double dipping with two dogs for the price of one. It did an okay job although we were racing against time as the machine ticked down to the final minute. In the end, we emerged with two clean and fresh smelling pups.
It was a day of cleaning and organizing. Nicest showers I’ve encountered in over a year on the road. Caught some of the Oklahoma Sooners football game and parts of the World Series. Our campsite had a small fountain in the corner that made gurgly sounds throughout the night.
